According to the office of Dawes County Coroner/Attorney Vance Haug, “On September 21, 2024, shortly before noon, the body of 22 year old Chadron State College student, Trevor Eisenbraun was discovered in rural Dawes County by an officer with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Shortly thereafter, the Dawes County Attorney/Coroner, Dawes County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol were contacted to assist in the investigation.
After review of the scene, the evidence recovered on scene, interviews with witnessses and a review of autopsy result, it has been determined that Mr. Eisenbraun died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
