Funeral services for 48-year old DeAnn ‘Squig’ Richard are Saturday, Oct 23, 2021 at 4:00 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD, with spiritual music by Beaver Wayne Richards
Cremation will follow the services with a Wiping of Tears/Memorial of Life/Scattering of Ashes planned for next September 9th and 10th at the Little Soldier Camp Cemetery in Old Ring Thunder, SD.
A Celebration of Life will precede the funeral starting at 1:00, also at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.
DeAnn ‘Squig’ Richard “Oowanyang Waste Win” ~Pretty Woman~ was born on May 23, 1973 in Omaha, NE to Dean D. Richard, Sr. and Susan C. (Donner) Richard. DeAnn made her journey to the Spirit World on October 17, 2021 in Rapid City, SD.
DeAnn is survived by her mother, Susan C. (Donner) Richard; siblings, Jody Richard-Chauncey, Dean Richard, Jr., Theresa Richard, and Richenda Richard; nieces, Kassandra Chauncey, Xandra-Claudia- Raina Conroy, and SanDean Richard; nephews, Justice Shangreaux, Damion Lee Richard, Bill Chauncey, and Liam Conroy; aunts, Irene Clairmont, Gwen Clifford, Sandra Richard, Theresa (Trudy) Richard; uncles, Orion Clifford, and Tim Donner, Sr.; brother-in-laws, Kevin ‘Hebro’ Harp and Foster Conroy; and sister-in-law, Jaime Werpy.
DeAnn was preceded in death by her father, Dean D. Richard, Sr.; grandparents, Alfred & Loretta Richard; and nephew, Micheal Dean Richard.
Pallbearers will be Barb Bracha, Deb Ferris, Pepper Steph Apple, Kelso Ross, Kassandra Chauncey, Aspen Donner, Brandis Clifford, Marjorie ‘Jorie’ Lunderman, Samantha Plank, Heather Paxton, Daryl Ann Apple, Venita Rengel, and Jose ‘Joser’ Gonzalez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Class of 1991, and All Family, Friends, and Fur Babies.
