The Associated Press has declared Deb Fisher as the winner of one of the two senate seats representing Nebraska. Fischer was elected to the senate for the first time in 2016 and will return to Washington for her third six year term. She defeated Independent Dan Osborne in a tight race.
Fisher joins Pete Ricketts who was elected to his first six-year term in the senate after serving the past two years, replacing Ben Sasse who resigned to become president of the University of Florida.
