Burial is at the Drywood Cemetery in Oglala

Deidra Nicole Tobacco was born on October 6, 1986 in Pine Ridge, SD to Ivan Tobacco and Melissa (Sharpfish) Tobacco. Deidra made her journey to the Spirit World on November 12, 2023 at her home near Oglala, SD.

Deidra is survived by her mother Melissa Tobacco; children Nicholas (Lynn Marie Velasquez) Tobacco, Ryanna Bissonette, Danielle Bissonette, Taelynn Eagle Louse, Daciah Featherman, Cassian Tobacco, and Vinny Farmer Jr; grandparents Millie Black Bear, Pedro Sharpfish, Darwin Sharpfish, Regina Tobacco, and Karen Tobacco; grandchildren Kylar Bissonette, Alycia He Crow, and Aliyah Martinez; siblings Edwina Tobacco, Kelsey Tobacco, Deanna Tobacco, and Kyle Tobacco; hunka brother Stephen King; aunts, Avis Blacksmith, Harriet Sharpfish, Marriet Sharpfish, Audrey (Dennis) Martinez, Lexie Diaz, Gloria Warrior, Julie Warrior, Sylvia Warrior, Violet Ten Fingers, Becky Sharpfish, Martina Sharpfish, and Jeri (Dean Shortbull) Warrior; special friend Greg Womack; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deidra was preceded in death by her father Ivan Tobacco; son Josiah Featherman; grandparents Calvin Tobacco and Molly Blacksmith; brothers Bradley Tobacco and Ivan C Tobacco; and sister Kayla Tobacco.

Pallbearers will be Devin Short Bull, Makauska Moves Camp, Vernon Short Bull, Reagan Short Bull, Leroy “Junior” Lame, Steve King, Monte Eagle Louse, Edward Two Hawk, Brandon Pipe On Head, Chad Tobacco, Daus Rabbit, Allan Waters Jr, and Dale Warrior Jr.
