Delores “Dee” Red Shirt was born on May 11, 1946 at home in Red Shirt, SD to Abraham High Hawk and Irene Red Shirt. Delores made her journey to the Spirit World on December 13, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Dee is survived by her sisters Merilyn Bear Robe, Vina Conroy, Francine High Hawk, and Sherry High Hawk; brothers Edward Smoke, Ben Smoke and Wayne High Hawk; children Roxie (Tony) Whirlwind Horse, Rhonda Dreamer, Rochelle Dreamer, Rose Dreamer, Rachel Dreamer, Marty Aberle and Orrin Wing; stepsons Al Dreamer Jr, George Dreamer, Todd Dreamer, and Arley Dreamer; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and great-great-granddaughter Athena Marie White Eagle.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband Aloysius Dreamer; mother Irene Red Shirt; father, Abraham High Hawk; son Craig Dreamer; sister Bertha Smoke; brothers John Red Shirt, Donald High Hawk, and her twin Dalbert “Hookeye” Red Shirt; and grandsons Richard Dreamer, Josiah Dreamer and Edward White Eagle Jr.
Pallbearers will be Sonni White Eagle, Jacob Dreamer, Edward White Eagle, Vaughn Clifford, Kobe White Eagle, Aldon Dreamer, Lebron White Eagle, Amare White Eagle, Antonio Dreamer, Craig Dreamer Jr, and Anthony Running Horse.
