Funeral services for 56-year old Donna Peniska will be Saturday, July 3rd at 2:00 pm at the Little Wound House Of Prayer in Little Wound, SD.
A wake service will begin at noon on Friday, July 2nd at the Little Wound House Of Prayer.
Burial will be held at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Little Wound/

Donna Rose Peniska was born on June 1, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Eugene Short Horn and Myrnette Wounded Head. Donna made her journey to the Spirit World on June 27, 2021 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Donna is survived by her children, Latonna Red Owl, Naomi Red Owl, Dawn Short Horn, Mary Short Horn, Clarissa Roebuck, Ryan Peniska, and Jess Peniska; siblings, William Short Horn, Victor Short Horn, Pearl Hopkins, and Veronica Hopkins; aunt, Barbara Short Horn; grandchildren, Tasia Basche, Avia Basche, Gianna Basche, Camdon Basche, Dora Red Owl, Briana Robinson, Bella Robinson, Bentley Robinson, Alex Robinson, Jr., Brooklyn Red Owl, Dabz Red Owl, Maliyah Short Horn, Andres Janis, Sebastian Janis, Lillianna Janis, Lucianna Janis, Kenadie Peniska, and Adonis Peniska; and special friend, Robert Stover.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Short Horn and Myrnette Wounded Head; siblings, Larry Short Horn, Joann Short Horn, and Marla Short Horn; paternal grandparents, Frank Short Horn and Sadie (Janis) Short Horn; and maternal grandparents, Victoria Apple and Joshua Wounded Head.
