Graveside services for 63-year old Donna Mae Turning Hawk are Saturday, Nov 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Cemetery in Kyle, SD, with Lay Minister Mona Vocu officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Robert Two Crow

A one-night service starts Friday, Nov 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM at the Kyle Community Church south of Kyle.

Donna Mae Turning Hawk “Akicita Lakota Win” was born on July 16, 1957 in Kyle, SD to Asay Turning Hawk and Emma (Broken Leg) Turning Hawk. Donna made her journey to the Spirit World on November 14, 2020 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Donna is survived by her mother, Emma Turning Hawk; daughters, Denise (Edwin) Harris of Rapid City, SD, Emmaline (Amy) (Tuko Clifford) of Kyle, SD, and Janet (Elliott) Harris of Rapid City, SD; son, Charles Philip (Marla) Poor Bear of Kyle, SD; sister, Cordelia Old Horse of Kyle, SD; 25 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Asay Turning Hawk; daughter, Janelle One Horn; and aunts, Bertha Broken Leg, Vera Brown Bull, and Gaylene Brown Bull.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Harris, Elliott Harris, Adam Poor Bear, Lewis Harris, Charles Poor Bear, Lane Poor Bear, Louie Top Bear, Wayne Turning Hawk, Jonas Old Horse, and Asay Old Horse.
