Donny Dean Merrival Jr was born on April 12, 2005 in Pine Ridge, SD to Donny Merrival Sr and Naomi Prairie Chicken. Donny Jr made his journey to the Spirit World on March 3, 2024 in Rapid City, SD.

Donny was preceded in death by his sister Natisha Lynn Brewer; grandparents Holly “Sissy” Merrival, Arthur Merrival, Rudolph Twiss Sr, Christine Wheeler, and James Mesteth; great grandmothers, Patricia Mesteth-Fager and Thelma Mesteth; aunts Mandy Merrival-Jumping Eagle Janis and Delores “DeeDee” Merrival; uncles Warren Merrival, Rudolph Twiss Jr and Stephen Blaine Prairie Chicken; and cousins Dusti Rose Jumping Eagle, Baby Webber, and Selena Merrival.
