A move that has been expected or what one could say was the worst kept secret at Nebraska fall camp. Dylan Raiola has been named the starting quarterback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the team announced Wednesday.

Raiola, a true freshman out of Buford, Georgia originally committed to Georgia before flipping his commitment to Nebraska in late December. Reports were that he had a stellar spring practice. He beat out Kearney native Heinrich Haarberg, who had a solid season last year and newcomers freshman Daniel Kaelin and NAIA transfer Jayln Gramstead.

Raiola will get his collegiate career started when Nebraska hosts UTEP on August 31st.
