Chadron State Cross Country team is traveling to Sturgis, South Dakota, tomorrow for the Gage McSpadden Race.

The event, which is the eight-annual running, will be at Fort Meade in Sturgis, with the women’s race starting at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 6:30 p.m.

Joining the Eagles in competition will be MSU-Billings, South Dakota Mines, Dawson Community College, host Black Hills State and a number of unattached runners.

The Chadron State men will run a 6k competitively for the first time this season, while the women will run another 5k.

Conference foes Black Hills State are running competitively for the first time this year. South Dakota Mines finished above CSC last weekend at the Wyoming Invite.

Head Coach Luke Karamitros says the race will be a great opportunity for newcomers on both teams to earn a spot in the team’s top five runners.
