Chadron State College will host the 35th annual Early Childhood Conference Feb. 21-22 at the Student Center. Erin Ramsey, an author and early childhood educator, will deliver the keynote presentation about how to battle burnout. ย

The conferenceโs theme is Building Resilience in Educators and will focus on topics such as early learning guidelines, active supervision and safety of children, reading for joy, indoor and outdoor activities, and creating supportive environments during the professional development sessions Feb. 21. Saturday sessions will include Ramseyโs keynote presentation and sessions on trauma resilience, tax credits, and the effects of stress and trauma on infant and toddler development.
Ramsey earned her undergraduate degree in Child Development and Psychology from California State University in Sacramento and her Master of Science in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville. She has worked in the early childhood profession for more than 30 years as a childcare provider, teacher, executive, trainer, and community organizer. She is also the author of Be Amazing: Tools for Living Inspired and Inspired Work, Showing up and Shining Bright.
Ramsey said her main goals are to inspire, bring hope, and encourage people to be more joyful in their professional and personal lives. She shares realistic approaches to difficult situations and teaches audiences how to overcome them. Ramsey uses personal stories and proven practices to create relevant, relatable, and applicable examples for her audience. Her universal message that success is possible for everyone and starts from within drives her unique, comical, caring, and enthusiastic presentations.
