The East rolled over the West 35-7 in the 45th West Nebraska All-Star Football Game in Scottsbluff. They now lead the series 27-17-1

The game had been scheduled to start at 7:00, but kickoff was moved up twice to 11:00 because of weather forecasts for evening thunderstorms

The East never trailed, scoring 3 times in the 2nd quarter and leading 21-7 before adding a touchdown in each of the final 2 quarters.

The East threw the ball more than it did last year when it was 55 runs and 2 passes, but the ground game was still the backbone of the offense.

Offensive MVP Adam Dugger of McCook rushed for over 100 yds and threw a touchdown to high school teammate Lucas Gomez-Wilson while North Platte’s Brock Roblee scored on 3 short runs and finished for over 70-yards.

The East also scored on a 65-yard halfback pass from Wes Geiken of Gothenburg to Lexington’s Jase Carpenter.

Defensive MVP Conner Wells of Broken Bow and his East teammate stymied the West offense all day. The West got its lone score late in the 1st half when Scottsbluff’s Braeden Stull hit Ethan Sihm of Perkins County on a 4 yard pass.
