Eldean Lois Tail was born July 13, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Evangeline (Black Feather) Fast Horse and Earl Tail. Sr. Eldean made her journey to the spirit world on January 15, 2025 at the Monument Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Eldean is survived by her son, Patrick Tedder of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Elizabeth Allivand of Louisville, KY, and Sara Espinosa of Dallas, TX; Step-father, James Fast Horse, Sr. of Wolf Creek, SD; sisters, Jennifer Swallow of Wolf Creek SD, and Angel Tail of Browning, MT; brothers, J.P. Fast Horse, John Fast Horse, and Jason Fast Horse, all of Wolf Creek, SD, and Earl Tail, Jr. of Browning, MT; niece, Jasmine Afraid of Bear; nephews, Vincent Richards, Jared Rencountre, Wyatt Elwes, and Kenneth “Bubba” Phelps; and aunts, Aurelia Good Plume of Wolf Creek, SD and Mary Condon of Wolf Creek, SD.
Eldean was preceded in death by her mother, Evangeline Fast Horse; father, Earl Tail, Sr.; sisters, Earlyn Tail, Donna (Tail) Phelps, Sharon Tail, Monica Fast Horse, Lisa Fast Horse, Tanya Fast Horse, and Joy Tail; brother, Frank Tail; uncles, Antoine (Buzzy) Black Feather, Delbert Tail, and Eli Tail, Sr.; aunts, Giovanna Wasicuna, Irma Bad Wound, Estella Rowland, Georgia Tail, Zona Tail, and Pauline Tail.
