Ernest Almon White Hawk, Jr. was born on October 29, 1955 in Pine Ridge, SD to Ernest White Hawk, Sr. and Avis (Kills Right) White Hawk. Ernest made his journey to the Spirit World on September 5, 2024 at the Avantara Redfield Nursing Home in Redfield, SD.
Ernest is survived by his daughters, Latecia Hernandez of Chadron, NE and Heather White Hawk of Manderson, SD; son, David White Hawk of Manderson, SD; sisters, Gunsmoke, Lisa, Leah & Almira White Hawk; brother, Darrell White Hawk; grandchildren, Kasandra Thunder Hawk of Chadron, NE, Jess Hernandez of Sharp’s Corner, SD, Leon Hernandez of Pine Ridge, SD, Sincere & Kayden White Butterfly of Rockyford, SD, and Freda & Elson White Hawk of Porcupine, SD; and great grandchildren, Charlie Hernandez of Sharp’s Corner, SD, LJ & Kaidence Hernandez of Pine Ridge, SD, and Isaiah & Jaxson Thunder Hawk of Chadron, NE.
Ernest was preceded in death by his mother, Avis Kills Right-White Hawk; father, Ernest White Hawk, Sr., sisters, Betty White Hawk & Merle White Hawk; brother, Patrick White Hawk, Sr. and uncle, Eugenio White Hawk, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Francis Hernandez, Ricky Sierra, Lucas White Hawk, Jess Hernandez, Leon Hernandez, Reggie Chase Alone, Sr. and Silvestre “Rambo” Gonzales
