Funeral services for 88-year old Evangeline Merrival are Wed, June 2, 2021 at 10:00 at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD. with Father Ed Witt, S.J., officiating and traditional Lakota services by Waylon Gaddie
Burial follows at 12:30 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
Visitation is Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5-7:00 PM, also at the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City with a Rosary Service starting at 7:00 PM.
Evangeline Mary Merrival (Goes In Center) was born on August 10, 1932 in Hisle, SD to Oliver and Mabel (Romero) Goes In Center. Evangeline made her journey to the Spirit World on May 24, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Evangeline is survived by her daughters, Joan Frances Mader, Susan Katherine Allan, and Carla Ethel Merrival; sons, Leonard John Merrival and Victor Lawrence Merrival; sister, Agnes Picotte; grandchildren, Jennifer M. Merrival, Zachary S. Merrival, Timothy P. Mader, Randolph W. Merrival, Melissa L. Merrival, and Austin B. Merrival; and great grandchildren, Zakiah Merrival, Adam Merrival, Chloe R. Merrival, Leonard Merrival, Olivia O. Merrill, Ai’dah Merrival, Randolph Merrival, Jr., and Isabella Elaine Rose Merrival.
Evangeline was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Mabel (Romero) Goes In Center; spouse, Barton Steven Merrival; sons, Timothy S. Merrival and Barton P. Merrival; and grandparents, John and Katherine (Lipp) Goes In Center.
Pallbearers will be Austin Merrival, Leonard Merrival, Victor Merrival, Susan Allan, Waylon Gaddie, Randolph Merrival, Jeffrey Merrill, Dylan Ashley, and Curtis Quiver.
Honorary pallbearers will be Al Romero, Fernand Romero, Patti Romero, Geneva Janis, Lewis Quiver, and All Friends & Relatives.
