The Chadron State Foundation’s first annual Fall Fund Drive Pledge Party is today from 11:00-1:00 in the College Student Center, showcasing the talent and skills of Chadron State students.
Foundation Development Officer and fund drive coordinator Brandon Davenport says since the Fall Drive raises money to support student success at CSC, the Pledge Party puts the focus on the students
He says says it’s an excellent opportunity to witness and celebrate the incredible potential and creativity that CSC students bring to the table.
The Pledge Party is a drop-in affair with attendees able to come and go as they please. It’s open to the community and no one has to donate to attend
Davenport says that doesn’t mean there won’t be an option for those who are inspired to give by what they see and hear from the students. Foundations staffers will have a table set up to accept donations.
There won’t be food, but Davenport encourages everyone to bring a lunch or to order from either the cafeteria or the CSC Grill. Tables and chairs will be set up to enjoy lunch in good company.Â
The active phase of the drive wraps up next Friday and the more than 80 volunteers remain busy contacting past and potential donors assigned to them.
Davenport says anyone who would like to give to the foundation and can’t make it to Friday’s Pledge Party simply needs to contact the Chadron State Foundation office and someone will contact them.
This year’s community co-chairs are Cody Benton of Homestead Bank amd Cali Frankovic from Chadron Community Hospital On the campus side are Assistant Director of Human Resources Kim Hernandez and Office of Student Success director Chantel Merchan
