Federal Infrastructure Bill Providing $60M For Water Projects

South Dakota will receive more than $60 million dollars in water project funding from the massive federal infrastructure bill, but state budget planners are still reviewing Treasury Department stipulations on exactly how it can be used.

The infusion of federal dollars to state coffers means South Dakota’s next budget will likely be larger than ever with more opportunities for big-ticket projects and spending initiatives.

The $60-million in water project funding is part of about $355 million that South Dakota will receive through the infrastructure bill over the next several years.
