A one-night wake service starts Friday, Jan 26, at 1:30 at the Bill C Bear Gymnasium in Batesland with evening services at 7:00.

\Fermina Bethel (Red Owl) Quintana was born on Feb 12, 1948 in Pine Ridge, SD to Paul and Nellie (One Feather) Red Owl. Fermina made her journey to the Spirit World on Jan 15, 2024 at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.
Fermina is survived by her sons Wilson (Tracy Swift Bird) Quintana, Zachary (Adella Bird) Quintana, and Jay (Wynema) Quintana; daughters Lynette Quintana, Vanessa Quintana, Tessa (Chris Coriz) Quintana, and Ashley Quintana; brothers Robert (Phinet) Red Owl, Delmar (Linda) One Feather, and Johnathan Red Owl; sisters The Rev Cordelia Red Owl, Jan One Feather, Ingrid One Feather, Cheryl One Feather, Irmina Red Owl, and Thelma Pourier ; brother-in-law Vincent Quintana; grandchildren Damian, Darnell, Ethan, Bradley, Darrell, Wilson “Yamni” III, Anissa, Katie, Joseph, Zach Jr, Marcus, Dylan, Jayden, Joshua, Jayson, Lillianna, David, Iris, Nolan, Megan, MacKenzie, Danica, Javin, Javeri, Steven, Aaron, Joseph, Marissa, Sarah, Davina, Delissa, Dalene, and Hayes; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Fermina was preceded in death by her spouse Wilson Quintana Sr; parents Paul Red Owl and Nellie (One Feather) Red Owl; son Jeffrey Quintana; sisters Vestana (Red Owl) Two Lance, Elizabeth Red Owl, and Gertrude Red Owl; brothers Curtis Red Owl, Harry Red Owl, and Darrell Red Owl; and granddaughter Grace Quintana.
Pallbearers will be Damian Quintana, Jason Lone Hill, Dennis Martinez Sr, Andrew “AJ” Slow Bear, Darrell Quintana, Vinny “Jamie” LeBeau, Marcus Palmier, Steven Quintana, Zach “BZ” Quintana, Wilson “Buzzy” Two Lance, Darnell Quintana, and Dean Red Owl.
Honorary pallbearers will be all family, friends, & relatives.
