Nebraska Republican U-S Senator Deb Fischer of Valentine has formally filed to run for a third term.
The rancher and former state senator filed the needed forms directly with Secretary of State Bob Evnen on Monday.
Fischer released a statement about wanting “to continue serving the great people of Nebraska” and about the grassroots organization she’s put together of the past year.
Fischer said she’s “worked hard to visit with Nebraskans in all 93 counties, secure County Campaign Chairs in each county, and earn the support of over 1,000 local, state, and federal leaders from across Nebraska.”
Fischer calls the thousand-plus endorsements a “milestone (and) a testament to the strong grassroots support for my campaign and our collective commitment to earn each and every vote.”
