U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement on the passing of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter:
“Throughout his long life, President Carter served his country and his fellow man. He showed his love for others through many actions — serving in the Navy, as our 39th President, teaching Sunday School, and most memorably as a home builder for Habitat for Humanity. Bruce and I extend our deepest condolences to his family,” said Senator Fischer.
