Dawes County Wade Yada says more than 2″ of rain in 18 hours has led to rural flooding that has led to the closure of some county roads.
Yada says Mansfield Road is closed to through traffic from Old Hwy 20 to Raben Road with Lawrence Lake Road closed to through traffic from Whitney Lake Road to Hwy 71,
Yada is also asking the public to use caution when traveling county roads that are open because flooded areas and washouts might not be visible until just before reaching them.
Dawes County road crews will be out checking roads for flooding and washouts again in the morning.
