Former Alliance Women Gets Prison Time For Dealing Drugs

Loading

A former Panhandle woman has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to being part of a drug ring in Alliance. 45-year old Catherine Gibson, who lives in both Alliance and Henry, received 46 months in prison – just under 4 years

Prosecutors say Gibson sold 28 grams of methamphetamine to an informant in two controlled buys in February and March of 2021.

A search warrant based on the two buys led to raids a short time later on Gibson’s rental car and her home in Alliance.

About 110-grams of meth and 10 fentanyl pills were seized from the car with another 92 grams of meth found in the home. Gibson told officers she would pick up meth and bring it back to Alliance to sell.

The case was investigated by a combination of local, state, and federal agencies – the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and the FBI.
