Franklin James Brave “Ohitika” was born on March 16, 1988 in Pine Ridge, SD to Marvin Brave Jr and Lucille Lone Elk. Franklin made his journey to the Spirit World on January 24, 2023 in Minneapolis, MN.
Franklin is survived by his sons Jesse Brave, Jace Brave, Jayden Brave, Jacoby Brave, and Wicahpi Hoksila Luta Eagle; daughters Tara Brave, Jazmine Brave, Jemma Brave, Kayleona Brave, and Alissa Rouillard; mother Lucille Lone Elk; sisters Katrina Chase, Brianna Roan Eagle, Stacy Chase In Winter, and Pearl Tail; brothers Craig Chase and Quentine Lone Elk; grandson Luca Brasi Brave; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Franklin was preceded in death by his father Marvin Brave Jr; brother, Marvin Brave III; and grandparents Vestana Iron Boy, Frank Leroy Lone Elk, Marvin Brave Sr, and Fidelia Swift Bird.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Flying Hawk Jr, William He Crow, Alvin LeBeau, Quentine Lone Elk, Bruce Yellow Wolf, Mitchell Long, Vincent Long, and Ted Pourier, III.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives
