Fuller Construction Named Nebraska Government Contractor Of The Year

Fuller Construction of Chadron was honored yesterday as the Nebraska Business Development Center’s Government Contractor of the Year.

NBDC staffer Chuck Beck presented the award to 3rd-generation owner Eric Fuller in a reception at Chadron State College. Beck says Fuller Construction was picked for several reasons, headed by its role in the community.

Fuller Construction was started in 1959 by Eric’s grandfather Athel, a WWII veteran who retired as head of the company in 1984.

It was then run for many years by his son Dana – now President Emeritus – until Eric  took over earlier this century. Beck says the company is a true reflection of the Fuller family.

Yesterday’s reception drew a mix of Fuller family members, friends, and business associates. Eric Fuller says he and the company, which has completed over 3,000 projects in the last 63 years, are thankful and honored by the award.

The Nebraska Business Development Center is a statewide program with 10 office locations, including one at Chadron State College.

It’s credentialed consultants provide a wide range of confidential, one-on-one business services, mostly at no charge to entrepreneurs, established businesses, innovators and economic and community development professionals.
