Funeral services for 74-year old Galeson Eagle Star are Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10:00 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD, with Pastor Asa Wilson officiating
Burial will follow at 2:30 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD
A one-night wake service starts Thurs, April 20, at 4:30 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala with evening services at 7:00 and Military Roll Call to follow.

Galeson Joseph Eagle Star was born on April 6, 1948 in Pine Ridge, SD to Samuel Eagle Star and Jennie (Mesteth) Eagle Star. Galeson made his journey to the Spirit World on February 25, 2023 in Kennewick, WA.
Galeson is survived by his children Dawn Eagle Star, Galeson Eagle Star Jr, and Kyle Eagle Star; sisters Betty Russell and Lucy Little; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.
Galeson was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Eagle Star and Jennie (Mesteth) Eagle Star; sister Margaret Slow Bear; and maternal grandparents David and Mabel Mesteth.
Pallbearer will be Mike Slow Bear.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Veterans, Friends, Family, & Relatives
