Gary Manuel Cheyenne was born on February 23, 1959 at home in Oglala, SD to Lott Earl Cheyenne and Doreen Little Sack. Gary made his journey to the Spirit World on May 21, 2024 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO.
Gary is survived by his brother Thomas Earl Cheyenne; sisters Janet Cheyenne and Theda Amescua; hunka brother Don “Cuny Dog” Cuny; special nephews Jeremy Cheyenne and Colin Whiting Jr; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Lott Earl Cheyenne and Doreen Little Sack; brothers Gerald Kills The Enemy, Alfred Bone Shirt, Delbert Bad Milk, Robert Estes, and Nick Kills The Enemy; sisters Donna Bone Shirt and Anita Dreaming Bear; hunka brother Guy Dull Knife Sr; and paternal grandparents Thomas Cheyenne and Emily (Kindle) Cheyenne.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Cheyenne, Colin Whiting Jr, Brennan Cheyenne, Russell Blacksmith, Nathaniel Tobacco Jr, Donald Belt, Donovan Kills Small, Chad New Holy, Colby New Holy, Narvel Cree, and Renfred Good Lance.
