Gary Reed Satterfield was born Feb 23, 1955, in Orange, CA, and passed away Dec 22, 2023, at the VA hospital in Sioux Falls
Gary was the third of 4 sons born to Mary (Miller) Zeller and Jay Satterfield. He grew up in Crawford, NE, then moved to Denver, C0, to join the US Army. After his discharge he spent time in Crawford and South Dakota.
His brothers have many fond memories of growing up together in Crawford. Gary loved to take his mom to the casinos and a trip to Las Vegas was a highlight for him. Gary’s nieces and nephews have many memories of him being a nurturing uncle.
Preceding Gary in death were his mother, father, nephew Brian Zeller and sister-in-law Sophie Zeller.
He is survived by his brothers Dan Zeller of South Dakota and his 3 children; Jay (Camilla) Zeller of Missouri; and Doug (LaWayne) Zeller of Iowa and his 4 children; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
