Funeral services for 74-year old Gerald Hanneman will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 at noon at the Batesland Pow Wow Grounds in Batesland, SD, with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., and traditional Lakota services by Mr Waylon Black Crow
Burial services will be at Knights Cemetery, also in Batesland
Viewing services will precede the funeral from 10:00 until noon , also at the Batesland Pow Wow Grounds
Gerald Alan Hanneman was born on October 28, 1945 in Gordon, NE to William Hanneman and Sophia (Conroy) Hanneman and made his journey to the Spirit World on July 19, 2020, at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Gerald was a veteran of the U-S Army
Gerald is survived by his wife, Audrey Yellow Hair; son, Darrell (Jen) Yellow Hair; daughters, Nikki (John) Yellow Hair, Tami (Travis) Zurek, Josie Yellow Hair, and Barb (Mike) Yellow Hair; grandchildren, Allie Lorraine, Jordan Parmenter, Jay Shawn Morrisette, Ashlyn Morrisette, Moriah Morrisette, BJ, James, & Brandon Conroy, Lenny Richards, and Lawrence Richards.
Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Sophia Conroy; father, William Hanneman; son William Yellow Hair; grandson, James Conroy; sister, Judy Temple; brothers, William Butch Hanneman and Terry Hanneman; and nephews, A.D., Jeff, and Merle Temple.
Pallbearers will be Willie Dillon, Mike Two Eagle, John Yellow Boy, Jason Dillon, Derek “Rangi” Bettelyoun, Lyle “Cookie” Dillon III, Rex “Bubs” Conroy, Jr., Zack Rodney Runnels, and Bryan Kehn.
