Gertrude Faye Red Cloud was born on December 13, 1955, in Pine Ridge, SD, to Walter J Red Cloud Sr and Eleanor Shields-Red Cloud. Gertrude made her journey to the Spirit World on January 21, 2023 at the Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, CO.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter Wanbleewin D Red Cloud; sisters Marletta Red Cloud and Naomi Red Cloud; grandchildren Jeremy Red Cloud and Roberta Little; and great-grandchildren Athena White Bear Claws, Jeremiah Blue Bird and Claire Cottier.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor Shields-Red Cloud; father Walter Red Cloud Sr; sister Roberta Little Brave; brothers Kenneth Red Cloud and Walter Larvie Red Cloud; son Elijah Red Cloud; grandparents Hazel Little Hawk and Emil Waters; aunts Lillian Sharpfish, Agnes Little Hawk, and Cathy Little Hawk; uncles Sylvan Little Hawk, Wilbur Between Lodges, and Rudy Under Standing Crow; cousins Wahacanka Paul Peltier, Christina Little Brave, and Edward Shields; nephew Joshua Red Cloud; and takojas Sebastian Red Cloud and James Red Cloud.
