No funeral or memorial services will be held for 74-year old Gloria “Glo” or “Georgie” Little.

The family says that through our collective stories and images, we can continue to feel Gloria’s adventurous and compassionate spirit and keep her memory alive in our hearts.

Gloria Jane Little, affectionately known as Glo or Georgie, was born on July 11, 1949 in Pine Ridge, SD. She passed away on January 1, 2024 in Lakewood, CO, where she resided for the past 3 years.

Gloria was an adventurous soul who embraced the world with open arms. She was ambitious in her pursuits and compassionate in her interactions with others. 

Her courage was evident in every aspect of her life, from her professional endeavors to her personal relationships. 

Gloria was a dedicated and esteemed employee of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) of Denver, CO for 24 remarkable years. Her unwavering commitment and outstanding service were recognized by the Board of Directors, a testament to her diligent work ethic and commitment to her community.

Gloria’s adventurous spirit was not confined to her professional life; she was an avid trail walker and painter, finding joy in the beauty of nature and art. 

She had a deep love for her family, spending cherished moments with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A woman of faith, Gloria was actively involved in various churches and served selflessly in food banks, illustrating her compassionate nature. 

She lived by the verse, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10). This verse was the embodiment of Gloria’s generous spirit, as she loved to help all, and had a heart full of forgiveness.

Gloria is survived by her loving family: her daughter Peggy Ortiz; son-in-law Gerald; her grandchildren Denea Espinoza, Henry Espinoza, Justine Espinoza, and Stephen Espinoza; her great-grandchildren Eric, Brooke, Adrian, Teya, Enzio, Nolan, Ana, Stephen Jr., Alma, Valencio, Onaliszia, Romeo, Toby, Carlee, Kristian, Nathaniel, Alynna, and Aria; and her siblings Emma, Colleen, David, Debra, Sherwood, Lori, Donna, and Larry. 

She is also remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Grace Little; and her siblings Sherwood, Violet, Darlene, Lionel, Steven, Deloris, Darlene, Dennis, Sterling, Serena, and Sandra.
