Gordon Names Sheridan Judge To Wyo Supreme Court

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon has named a district judge from Sheridan to fill the State Supreme Court vacancy created by the retirement of Justice Michael Davis. John Fenn will join the 5-member Supreme Court Jan 17.

Fenn was a private attorney from 1993 until he was appointed in 2007 to the 4th Judicial District bench serving Sheridan and Johnson counties.

Governor Gordon says the “breadth” of Fenn’s judicial experience has earned him the respect of the Wyoming legal community but that he has also shown himself to be “keenly aware” of the impact the high court has on both the law and on individuals.

Feen has been actively involved in the development of Wyoming’s new Chancery Court, created by the legislature in 2019 for streamlined resolution of commercial, business, and trust cases

Fenn is Wyoming native and a graduate of Big Piney High School, the University of Wyoming, and the UW law school.
