Graduation Day For Chadron, Crawford, Gordon-Rushville, CSC

    This is Graduation Day in our area with Chadron State College and Chadron, Crawford, and Gordon-Rushville high schools all holding commencement ceremonies.

     Up first at 10:00 in the Chicoine Center is Chadron State, where 218 undergraduates will receive bachelor’s degrees with 65 students receiving master’s degrees in a combined ceremony.

       Nebraska State College System Chancellor Dr. Paul Turman will be the commencement speaker while Swaranga Fernando of Colombo, Sri Lanka, will offer the opening moment of reflection, and Estabon Bozeman of California, will offer the closing moment of reflection.

        Army ROTC cadet Harrison Perchal of Omaha will also receive his commission as a 2nd lieutenant during the ceremony, which will be streamed at CSC Live and carried on Great Plains Cable Channel 20.

     Gordon-Rushville High School begins its graduation at 10:30 in the gymnasium in Gordon with a livestream on YouTube.

       Crawford High will have 15 graduates for its 1:00 ceremony, also in the gym and with a stream on YouTube.

      The Crawford Class of 2022 has a motto from an anonymous writer of “Together, we have experienced life. Separately, we will pursue our dreams. Forever our memories remain.” The class song is “Good Ole’ Days” by Macklemore.

      Chadron High holds its graduation at 1:00 in its gym as well with 73 diplomas scheduled to be presented. Go to the Chadron Publc Schools website Chadronschools.org for a link to a live stream of the ceremonies.
