Today is New Year’s Day, but since it’s a Sunday, tomorrow will be the legal holiday when all government offices – city, county, state, and federal – will be closed.
Tomorrow will also have all financial institutions closed and no mail delivery, Schools are still on holiday break.
January 1st is traditionally a time to look both back and forward…fitting since the month is named after the 2-headed Roman god Janus.
Several major parades are held on New Year’s Day, including the London’s New Year’s Day Parade, Pasadena’s Tournament of Roses Parade (also known as the “Rose Parade”), and Philadelphia’s Mummers Parade.
