Funeral services for 69-year old Harold Long Soldier are Friday, March 3, 2023 at 1:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD, with Mother Michelle Dayton officiating.
Burial is at the Mediator Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle.
A one-night wake service starts Thurs, March 2, at 2:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows in Kyle.

Harold Wayne Long Soldier was born on Oct 11, 1967, in Pine Ridge, SD, to Silas Long Soldier and Leona Crazy Thunder. Harold made his journey to the Spirit World on Feb 18, 2023 near Porcupine, SD.
Harold is survived by his siblings Ella Long Soldier, Bessie (John) Long Soldier, Tilda (Mark) St Pierre, John Steele, Fern Steele-Apple, Aldean Scott, Sally Apple, Tony Apple, Melanie Apple, and Alanna Apple; uncle Verdell Long Soldier; aunt Mary Rose Dillon; daughter Margaret Marie Steele; grandchildren Bella and Richard Tall and Julius Ross; and nieces & nephews Jamal and Iona Long Soldier; Tiffany, Tamera, Harold, Lloyd, and Amos Two Bulls; Jesse Thunder Hawk; Fernando and Robert John Tushka; Chantelle, Alicia, and Chrystal Shangreaux-Long Soldier; and Alex Long Soldier.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Leona M Crazy Thunder, Margaret Cottier-Steele, Silas F Long Soldier, and Josh Steele; wife V Long Soldier; siblings Lloyd R Long Soldier, Christopher G Long Soldier, Mark A “Pepsi” Long Soldier, Duane Steele, Frank Steele, Timothy Steele, and LuAnn Steele; and grandparents Sadie Little Warrior and Louis Crazy Thunder.
Pallbearers will be Kelly McCurry, Sandy “Sandman” Scott, Melvin Shoulders Jr, Frank Cottier, Mark Cottier, Leonard Chase Alone, Clayton Apple, and Brian Black Tail Deer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert “Hunska” Cottier, and All Friends & Relatives.
