      It’s Hay Springs vs Cody-Kilgore for the D2-12 boys basketball subdistrict title Thursday at 6:00 in Hay Springs.
Last night, the Hawks cruised past Sioux County 49-23 while Cody-Kilgore avenged a 5 point loss to Crawford earlier this month by smashing the Rams 70-37.
       Bridgeport and Gordon-Rushville are both C-1 in girls basketball and C-2 in boys, and they hooked in the C2-12 semifinals last night in Bridgeport. It was a one-sided fight as the Mustangs finished a winless season with a 65-7 defeat. Bridgeport plays Kimball for the title Thursday. Kimball beat Morrill 51-38 in the other semi.
      Hemingford rolled last night in D1-12, eliminating Bayard 65-38 at North Platte St Pat’s. The hosts had a similarly easy win, 68-31 over Maxwell, a 2-point winner over 1-19 Sutherland in the play-in game. Hemingford and St Pats meet Thursday.
      In D2-11 at Leyton, Banner County upset the hosts 54-53 while Potter-Dix beat Creek Valley 549-47. The subdistrict final is Thursday.
