Hay Springs Aims For D6 Semi’s, Hot Springs Eyes Title Game Appearance

After springing a mild upset in the first round of the D6 playoffs last week, Hay Springs will get a chance to do it for the 2nd straight week as they host 2nd seeded Arthur County tonight at home.

Hay Springs lost to Arthur County 44-42 back on the 15th of September in a game which saw the Hawks come up short at the Wolves 24 yard line as time ran down.

Should Hay Springs win again, they would advance to the semifinals for the 2nd time since dropping to 6-man football.

In Class B, Scottsbluff is back home for the 2nd straight week, welcoming Omaha Skutt,

– We were a day early in saying the South Dakota semi-finals were on Thursday, they’re actually tonight.

The Hot Springs football team is aiming for their first state championship appearance since 2003 when they travel to Elk Point-Jefferson tonight for the 11B semifinals. EPJ has never been to the championship.

The Bison have already knocked off an unbeaten team at Aberdeen Roncalli last week.

Kickoff is at 5:00 pm.

Wall is in the semifinals for the 3rd straight year but has never gotten over the hump. Kickoff is set for 5:30 pm.
