Dylan Young passed for three touchdowns and Cutter Scott ran for two more as Hay Springs blew past Crawford at home on Friday night 53-14. The win is Hay Springs’ third in a row.
The Hawks used a recovered fumble on the first play of the game and turned it into a touchdown for the early lead.
After Hay Springs went up 24-0, Crawford got back to back touchdown passes from Taylor Homan to pull within 24-14, but the Hawks scored again before half and ran away with it in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
The fumble recovery was our Dunbar’s U-Design It play of the game and Young took home Service Barber Shop player of the game honors.
Hay Springs is at Sioux County next week and Crawford hosts Minatare.
