For the first time since 2018 the Hay Springs football team will advance in the D6 playoffs after pulling off the 28-12 upset over Cody-Kilgore there on Friday afternoon.
The Cowboys used a pair of 1st quarter touchdowns to go on top 12-0, but it was all Hawks the rest of the way.
Cutter Scott and Gage Mintken each found the endzone in the 2nd quarter to tie the game at 12 at the half.
Mintken would score twice more in the 2nd half to help Hay Springs knock off Cody-Kilgore for the 2nd straight week.
Dylan Young came up huge defensively with a pair of interceptions.
Hay Springs will now host Arthur County next Friday with kickoff time to be announced.
