Hayden Lane Garnette was born on March 19, 2005 in Pine Ridge, SD to Martin Garnette and Magnolia Two Crow. Hayden made his journey to the Spirit World on July 20, 2024 at his home in Mitchell, SD.
Hayden is survived by his parents, Martin Garnette, Jr. and Magnolia Two Crow; sisters, Jodi Garnette, Samantha (Sioux) Garnette, Larae Garnette, Shanae Garnette, and Winnadel (John Brinker) Jacobs; brothers, Sheldon Garnette, Byron Yellow Elk, Martin James Garnette, and Coda Wright; maternal grandmother, Dixie Spotted Eagle; grandparents, Phyllis and Geno Winters, Audrey Kills Straight, Amy Rodriguez, Liz and Sam One Horn, Arthur Clifford, Alex Rodriguez, and Jolynn Rodriguez; aunts, Robin Two Crow, Sharon Two Crow, Daphne Richards-Cook, Louella Garnette, Lena Garnette Prairie Rose Garnette, and Alida Pierce; uncles, Dominic Two Crow, Desmond Richards, and Darrell Richards; nieces and nephews, Jersey Jacobs, John Brinker, Mason Catches, Sienna Catches, Mayla Tibbitts, Morgan Tibbitts, Lou Shane Garnette, and many other beloved nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Lilyana Comes Flying; and mother-in-law, Kally Metcalf.
Hayden was preceded in death by brother, Martin Garnette III; maternal grandfather, William Lee Two Crow; paternal grandparents, Martin Garnette, Sr. and Donna (Bull Bear) Garnette; and uncles, Vetal Two Crow and Duane Garnette.
Pallbearers will be John Brinker, Gavin Two Crow, Sheldon Garnette, Martin Garnette, Reginald No Neck, Jr., and Jerome No Neck.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends and Relatives.
A two night wake service for Hayden Garnette will start at 3 on Monday July 29 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD.
Funeral Service is at 10 on Wednesday July 31 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall with officiation to be announced.
Burial is at the St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle.
