It’ll be an all-Black Hills Conference 11B semifinal between #6 Hot Springs and #10 Rapid City Christian as both picked up wins in very different fashions in quarterfinal games on Thursday night.
On the legs of both Bison running backs Camron Maciejewski and Braden Peterson, Hot Springs rolled unbeaten and 3rd seeded Sioux Valley 49-13. Petersen accounted for 4 rushing touchdowns and Maciejewski tallied 2 of his own. Colin Iverson found Maciejewski on the Bison’s only passing touchdown of the night.
Rapid City Christian used a goal line stand to defeat 2nd seeded and unbeaten Dueul 13-8. Dueul had the ball first and goal at the 2 yard line and the Comets shut down the Cardinals on four straight plays.
As for next Friday’s semifinal, the Bison and Comets met three weeks ago in Hot Springs with Hot Springs getting the 23-13 win.
