As they ride an 18 game winning streak and an unbeaten conference record, the Nebraska softball jumped into the top 25 for the first time this season when they appeared at #21 in the D1softball.com poll.
The 18 straight wins is the 2nd longest streak in the nation behind Arizona State who has won 20 in a row. Oklahoma started the season with 36 straight wins but lost to Texas this past weekend.
The Huskers will face their toughest conference opponent of the season with a road trip to 4th place Wisconsin starting on Friday.
Nebraska’s Ava Bredwell earned Big Ten Freshman of the week honors. She went 9-for-14 at the plate last week with six RBI’s and six runs scored.
Bredwell has started 29 of the Huskers 42 games this season with the Big Red going 26-3 in those games.
