The Nebraska Dept of Transportation has closed Hwy 385 north of Chadron from its junction with Hwy 20 to the South Dakota state line due to blowing and drifting snow that has left it impassable.

The South Dakota Dept of Transportations says Hwy 385 is open but with no travel advised from the state line to Maverick Junction because of visibility less than a half-mile, slippery conditions, scattered drifting snow, and many areas of snow.

No travel is also advised from Maverick Junction to Hot Springs with slippery conditions cited.

The recommendation is also for no travel on Hwy 18 from its junction with Hwy 385 at Oelrichs all the way to Martin.

The highway from Oelrichs to Oglala has slippery conditions, snow, drifting snow, numerous areas of slush, and visibility of less than a half-mile.

Oglala to Hwy 391 has the same general conditions, but with drifts and visibility less than 1-8th of mile.

The stretch from Hwy 391 to Hwy 73 at Martin is listed as mainly slippery and mostly snow covered with numerous areas of snowfall, scattered drifting snow, and visibility less than a half-mile.
