The Nebraska State Patrol says a passenger was killed in a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Interstate 80 near Ogallala.
The crash occurred about 1:50 pm when a small SUV headed east crossed the center line and hit a westbound car.
Pronounced dead at the scene was the passenger in the car, 74-year old Anke Boudreau of Madison, Wisconsin.
The 2 drivers, 77-year old John Rosenberg, also of Madison, Wisconsin, and 64-year old Gary Pollack of Pinckney, Michigan – driver of the SUV – were both taken to Ogallala Community Hospital before being flown to a hospital in Littleton, Colorado.
The crash, which remains under investigation, closed I-80 in both directions for approximately 90 minutes.
