The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a Rapid City man was the person killed last Thursday evening in a 2-car collision on Interstate 90 near Spearfish.
The identity of 39-year old Marshall Osloond had been withheld pending notification of relatives.
The Patrol says Osloond’s car was stopped in the westbound driving lane of the freeway 2 miles east of Spearfish about 6:45 when it was rear-ended by a pickup driven by 20-year old Cactus Millar of Crookston, NE.
The impact sent both vehicles into the median. Osloond was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Millar was belted in and was unhurt.
The Highway Patrol has not said why Osloond was stopped in the driving lane. The investigation is continuing.Â
