Invitations have gone out for the 3rd annual Treasure Chest of the Northwest tourism event April 20 at 5:30 in the Dawes County Fairgrounds Event Center.
Northwest Nebraska TourismDirector Kerri Rempp says she tried to send them out to everyone in the region in or affiliated with tourism and encourages anyone who didn’t get an invitation to register anyway.
RSVPs are due by April 6th, but Rempp says the entry deadline for the new Northwest Nebraska Tourism awards is tomorrow.
Rempp encourages everyone who comes into contact with local tourist-oriented businesses and attractions to make nominations for the awards.
The Treasure Chest will include opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas and information, a brochure exchange, and a number of games.
There will also be speakers on topics that include “Hospitality: What Is It And Why Is It Important?” and “Diversified Marketing Strategies,” as well as a recap of the 2022 tourism season. Rempp thinks everyone in tourism will benefit.
The Treasure Chest of the Northwest is being hosted again this year by Discover Northwest Nebraska, Chadrad Communications, and the Heartland Center’s Committee for Rural Prosperity in Northwest Nebraska
