Former Nebraska player Jack McVeigh has signed a two way contract with the Houston Rockets. McVeigh played at Nebraska from 2015-2018 when he appeared in 78 games, starting in 15 of them. He averaged 5.3 points per game in 17 minutes. He had a career high of 21 points twice. Since his career at Nebraska ended he has been playing professionally in his native Australia and is coming off a career season where he averaged 16.4 points per game 5.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. Coincidently the announcement came shortly after he put up a respectable effort against the USA Olympic team where he had nine points in 11 minutes.
He joins Bryce McGowens who signed with the Portland Trail Blazers and Keisei Tominaga who agreed to terms with the Indiana Pacers as former Huskers who have signed NBA contracts this summer.Â
