Jacob Thomas American Horse-Garnier “Wakinyan Peta Hoksila”

(Fire Lightning Boy) was born on May 21, 1991 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alvin Keith Garnier and Ethel Rose (American Horse) Means. Jacob made his journey to the Spirit World on Nov 20, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Jacob is survived by his son Jayson Rodney Rouillard; sisters Martha American Horse, Angela Wallace, and Mia Means, all of Yankton, SD; brother Armand (Michelle Gettier) American Horse of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces Cadence Kills In Sight-Childress, Kehlani Childress, and Jacari Kills In Sight, all of Rapid City, and D’laney & Alexia Spotted Eagle of Kyle, SD; nephews Dacian Childress and Emmett Childress, both of Rapid City, and Lucius Cramner of Yankton, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Rose (American Horse) Means; father Alvin Keith Garnier; brother Jason W Featherman; and grandfather Emmett American Horse.

Pallbearers will be Alphonso Pawnee Leggins, Lyndon Hollow Horn, Bennifer Quernheim, Theodore Two Eagle, Frank Jealous of Him, Duron White Face, and Myron Ghost Dog.
