James “Jim” A Dunlap, 68 of Lyman, Nebraska passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at Regional West Medical Center as a result of a vehicle accident.
His memorial service will be held on Monday October 28, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Vine United Methodist Church with Pastor Liz Galindo and Reverend Steven Callicoatt officiating. Burial will be at Harrison Cemetery in Harrison, Nebraska.

Jim was born on October 18, 1955 in Crawford, Nebraska to Chester and Verda Grace (Seifert) Dunlap. He was raised in Sioux County and attended and graduated in 1974.
He married Patricia Dornan in Harrison and they resided near Kimball. To this union, two daughters were born Sarah Grace and Catherine. Later Jim moved to Wyoming.
He loved working on ranches, hunting, fishing, and reading. He did taxidermy. Jim worked in the oil fields and numerous other jobs.
He always had a dog or two with him where ever he went. He loved to tell jokes.
Jim was a simple man, with simple needs with million dollar ideas.
Survivors include his son Adam Dornan; daughters Sarah (David) Odom and Catherine Dunlap; grandchildren Andrew, Payton, Joshua, Gabriel, and Aaron; sisters Joanne Shugart and Cindy Morrison; brothers Steven (Christie) Callicoatt and Joe Dunlap and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ben Dunlap and Tom Callicoatt, ex wife Patricia; grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
