Funeral services for 73-year old James Hollow Horn Sr are Monday, May 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Wounded Knee Youth Center in Wounded Knee, SD, with Pastors Stanley Hollow Horn and Cecelia Spotted Bear officiating.
Burial will be at the Johnson Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD
A one-night wake service starts Sunday, May 16, at 11:00, also at the Wounded Knee Youth Center in Wounded Knee, SD.
James Joseph Hollow Horn Sr “Tuka Eyuahpa” was born on February 9, 1948 in Pine Ridge, SD to Adolph Hollow Horn and Grace Afraid of Enemy. James Sr made his journey to the Spirit World on May 11, 2021, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE.
James is survived by his long time special friend, Virginia Yankton; sisters, Deloris Hollow Horn, Mary Bull Bear, Elizabeth Yellow Horse, Sharon Hollow Horn, Bernadette Hollow Horn, and Alva Forney; brothers, William Hollow Horn and Theodore Hollow Horn; children, James Hollow Horn, Jr. and Andrea Hollow Horn; grandchildren, Shania Hollow Horn, Devonte Hollow Horn, Clayton Hollow Horn, Loni Hollow Horn, Lushea Hollow Horn, Lafaslianna Hollow Horn, Aryonna Sadie Hollow Horn, Lovely Hollow Horn, Randy Hollow Horn, Angel Hollow Horn, and Lupa Hollow Horn; nieces, Michelle Lau, Sally Apple, Jessie Romero, Sammie Jo Romero, Teri Lyn Poor Bear, Dani Hollow Horn, Becky Hollow Horn, Serena Belt, and Ashley Forney; nephews, Tom Hollow Horn, Terrance Hollow Horn, Myron Hollow Horn, Michael Yellow Horse, Sr., Darris Yellow Horse, Louis Hollow Horn, Sam Hollow Horn, Mitchell Hollow Horn, Joe American Horse, Jr., Emmunal American Horse, Bradley Forney, and Dale Hollow Horn.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Hollow Horn and Grace Afraid of Enemy-Hollow Horn; daughter, Angela Hollow Horn; son, Ben Yellow Boy; and brother, Myron Hollow Horn.
