Memorial Services for 79-year old Jean Marchant of Alliance, NE, are Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:00 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance with Father Matt Koperski officiating.
Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent in care of the family for a future designated memorial.

Jean Ann Marchant was born on August 4, 1943, in Chadron, NE, to William and Ruth (Crowe) Christensen. She passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Highland Park Care Center in Alliance.
Jean grew up in Chadron, but moved with her family to Scottsbluff, NE where she attended and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1962.
On August 20, 1964, she was united in marriage to William A “Bill” Marchant in Chadron.
Bill and Jean moved to Alliance where Jean was a housewife and stay-at-home mother until her two daughters were grown, then she worked at many retail businesses in Alliance.
Jean was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Box Butte Hospital Auxiliary. She was known for being a great decorator, always decorating her home for every holiday.
She is survived by her daughters Kim (Jeff) Metz of Angora, NE, and Tori Marchant of Scottsbluff; her two grandsons that she was so proud of Dillon and Logan Metz of Angora; her brother Melvin Christensen of Chadron; brothers-in-law Bob Olson of Alliance, Bob Marchant of Chadron, and Don (Laurie) Marchant of Kaw City, OK; and sister-in-law Norene (Steve) Jensen of Gering, NE; special nieces and nephews Jodi Sutphen, Amy Varner, Brad Olson, Bill Christensen, Brian Fisher, Cindi Nielsen, Christi Glenn, Daniel Marchant, Matthew Jensen, and Mark Jensen; and her loving cat Louie.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Marge Olson, and her sister-in-law Dolores Christensen.
